About The Play Equity Foundation
OUR STORY
The Play Equity Foundation was established in 2026 after our founders witnessed families compelled to withdraw their kids from sports, not due to a lack of interest, but rather because of insufficient funds. The costs associated with registration fees were just the beginning; equipment, transportation, and travel expenses quietly excluded many from participating in youth sports. We launched this Foundation to ensure that sports accessibility is never compromised by financial barriers, allowing every child the opportunity to play.

A Canada where every child can play, supported by the Play Equity Foundation, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances, language, or community. We envision a healthier tomorrow for our country, with improved sports accessibility and youth sports funding for all.
OUR MISSION
At the Play Equity Foundation, we aim to eliminate financial barriers to youth sport participation across Canada by providing sports funding for registration fees, equipment, and other costs of play. We collaborate with schools, municipalities, Indigenous communities, and sport organizations to ensure lasting sports accessibility for all.
